Who is Life Haven?

Life Haven Center for Independent Living, a non-profit organization of persons with disabilities, located in Valenzuela City, Philippines, serves as a pillar of support for persons with disabilities. Founded in 2005, our organization has grown to become a respected advocate for independent living and disability inclusion nationwide.

Our work revolves around practical assistance, advocacy, and rights protection through peer counseling, information and referral services, and our newly implemented paralegal program. We facilitate the empowerment of persons with disabilities to assert their rights and access the support they deserve. Beyond direct assistance, we engage in community-wide awareness campaigns, capacity-building activities, and policy advocacy to promote disability inclusion with focus on accessibility, community support services particularly personal assistance service and better access to assistive technology, social protection and disability data.

Collaboration lies at the core of our approach. We actively engage with government organizations and civil society organizations like CBM, Social Watch, Save the Children, and E-Net to promote implementation of CRPD.
